Real Madrid director Miguel Angel Arroyo has revealed management have assured Sergio Ramos over reports they had “opened a file” on the defender.

It was suggested this week that Real were putting together a file of Ramos over his poor behaviour, but Arroyo insisted: “I can state categorically and unequivocally that we’re not going to open a file on Ramos.

“We have spoken with Sergio Ramos to reassure him, because it was likely that the boy was distressed at the direction of some statements, which didn’t deserve any significance.”
