Deportivo La Coruna coach Miguel Angel Lotina has revealed he’s rejected an approach from Newcastle United.
Lotina confirmed contact with Newcastle representatives this week and explained: “I nipped it in the bud. My plan is clear. I am very happy at Deportivo, with the players, club and the fans. My intention until June 30 is to continue here.
“I had a call to see if I was interested. They asked about my situation and I informed them that I have a contract and could not consider leaving.”
